Municipal, Zoning and Land Use

We have represented clients in municipal matters since the time our firm was formed, including land development, regulation and other issues relating to local government. Our attorneys have appeared before the governing bodies, planning commissions, and zoning hearing boards of dozens of municipalities in Dauphin, Cumberland, Adams, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York Counties. We regularly assist clients in dealing with the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and Environmental Protection. We pride ourselves on our good relationships with municipal elected officials, consultants and staffs.

The attorneys in our firm regularly work with engineers, surveyors, architects, landscape architects, and other professional consultants. We have learned that being part of the development team from the beginning of a land development or subdivision project can speed the approval process and save costs.

Our firm represents municipalities as solicitors and as special counsel in a variety of specific legal matters in which municipalities find themselves. We also represent the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, the membership organization of the more than 1400 Townships of the Second Class in Pennsylvania.
